I have sound from the rear but no base on my S3, anyone know how to get the trim off the left panel in the boot on a 3 door ?

From memory, it is;

1. pull rear boot seal off
2. remove rear parcel shelf
3. remove boot light
4. unscrew visible screws (iirc, one is behind the rear bench so you will need to drop it)
5. using a trim tool, pop it out - there are a few very tight snap in fixings near the top that can break if you're not super careful

Been a few years since I took mine off so may not be 100%.
Also, there is a Bose sub connection block on the other side of the car that is easier to get to, so you could test from here.

As above, start with removing the carpet and work yer way up.
