Brake light switch

Hi. Just purchased a 2007 3.0tdi quattro sport A5 and ran vcds to check for any errors. Got a couple relating to brake light switch. Ive removed the switch but can anyone advise on refitting new one? Its 4F0945459b with the purple locking ring? Is there a set procedure?
