I was replacing my abs sensor today as the ring came loose and mangled it. Whilst doing this I thought I'd take a closer look at my brakes to find out why they're squealing so much when cold.

I found this, a nice thin score round the disc (could be from iron filings from said mashed sensor?) and looks like the pads have material missing, is this normal?

8L S3 setup has been installed, admittedly with the previous pads on the new discs so not a perfect install, squealing is at low speed and seems to go away with use, but returns on next journey, a good aount of ceratec is on the back of the floating pad (not piston side)

Cheers
