I've got this warning message in my car after 2 weeks of a warning about a servo and feeling a slight judder at times when braking. That message told me it was safe to keep driving, but to contact a workshop.

Due to work being hectic at the moment, I put off the previous warning and now I have the serious warning and will have to make a decision fast.

I took it to a local specialist as there's a 6 week wait to get into the local Audi Dealership, even with a serious fault code. The diagnostics are...

Hydraulic Brake Boost C123E F0 [173] - Limit Value Reached
Pressure Sensor for Brake Booster C11EC 04 [045] - Internal System Fault

Further testing found the ABS control module has been damaged due to a failing brake booster pressure sensor. ABS control module needs to be removed and sent away for bench test and repair. The repaired ABS module MUST only be fitted once the latest part number brake booster pressure sensor has been fitted.

The garage I used is rated the best specialist in the area, fitted me in for diagnostics at short notice and I would be more than happy to use them, however it's a 5 day job and there are no courtesy cars to provide customers.

The question really is who does the bench test and repair and can they do the full car repair as I really can't take the time off work at the moment and don't have access to another car I could use? Do I have any other options even?

Just hire a car for a week, some little run around, cheap enough considering the issue.

These companies generally just go bench repairs.

Thanks. It makes sense thinking about it. Car hire isn't cheap locally. Looks to be £400 ish for a week for a small car, unless i'm not very savy with finding a car.

Suppose it's better than a brake failure on the roads though and once it sinks in that it isn't going to be a cheap job and has to be done, it feels a little less bad over time

Right -
Jigs - Im fascinated by this, I have a similar or same issue materialise yesterday. Had a brake servo warning flash up twice but then not again. Braking fine at the moment but pedal does seem to feel a bit different, kinda softer than normal but not terrible.
So are you saying that the brake booster pressure sensor was failing leading the the demise of the abs module?? Same situation as you with vehicles so need the quickest most time efficient fix !

I had this on my 2017 S4, Audi guildford said that the initial warning is a sensor and no real problem, mine was fixed under warranty. He did say that if it was left and became a serious warning, to get it looked at as within 20 miles or so it would do serious damage to the ABS and would not be covered under warranty. I have no idea about these things, just passing on info in the hopes it might help someone.
