I got rear ended in a (loan) S8 the other day - by a Peugeot 309. Was slowing down hardish for a roundabout and just before I stopped there was a loud bang and the car lurched forwards. The front of the Peugeot was pretty trashed and the S8... ? - a small scratch on the bumper (and I do mean small - I am fussy) - no deformation, no fecking nowt!! I was amazed.
Had a chat with the body shop staff later and they have seen repairable A8 / S8's after arguements with lorries /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif - the spaceframe is built like a brick shithouse. I'm chuffed - feel sorry for poor bloke in the Peugeot though.
