I wonder if anyone knows which way the wires go into the black 2 pin plug off a 2007 allroad rear left shocker? I ordered a new plug but at £16 with delivery I don't want to take the 50/50 guess at which way round the two wires go. The two wires are brown and black. Wondering which goes to the rounded side of the plug? Cheers

What's a shicker?

Pic would help so we can see if its the damping or speed sensor etc.

Here's a pic

Put up a pic of the inside page of your service book that shows all your cars codes as elsawin doesnt show black brown, there's numerous engine & gearbox codes to select, so helps to know yours.

Do you have a pic of the mating connector & wire colours as this also helps.

The mating connector (picture attached) has blue wire on round side of connector and grey/blue on square side.
I attached pic of inside of service manual also as requested. Many thanks for helping. I really appreciate it.

During this refurb I have also to replace the rear brake callipers, and hoses. Where the solid brake line joins to the top of the flexi hose I think the union will crumble away when I try to unscrew it - it is badly corroded, so my plan would be to cut the solid brake line directly above the union and put a new union and flare the end whilst in situ. Wondering - is the solid brake line on these steel? It's hard to tell as painted black. Also I am guessing an M10 x 1mm union is required for this? Finally, what specific flare is needed? A bubble flare perhaps?
