just looking to see what difference the tax will be.

I have an a3 1.8T, Don't know the emission rating but reckon it's Category E.

I know there are new style MOT certificates now, does that contain the amount of carbon emmisions on it?

Why worry about it - it's peanuts compared with all the other costs of running a car? The difference between a 1.8 Mondeo and a Bugatti is less than a the cost of a tank of fuel (for the Mondeo). Hardly a disincentive?

Sure mine is 223 ****** money grabing sods but atleast i miss the £210 by a whole to grams, does anyone know what it will be for motor bikes or is that still the same.

I believe that is the case, they have also been babbling that it might only apply to new cars from april, but I don't see how it applies to 2001-now I'm sure we'll see in due course!

My 1.9 tdi would be band C so the've just saved me £5 a year
