Burning smell in cabin

Hi All

Wondered if anyone has had this before, when stood still there’s a rubber/ plastic burning smell in the cabin. As soon as you set off it’s gone.

Anyone any ideas before I take a proper look next week?

Good point it’s a 201515 3.0tdi Avant Quattro 272

It does it around town aswell so I kind of disregarded it being a regen

If the revs at idle are higher than normal, then it's probably doing a regen.

I’m off on the motorway tomorrow but will keep an eye on it and see what the revs are. Never really pay much attention to them. What are they usually just below 1k?

regardless of what it is I'd get it checked out by someone who knows what they are doing and not ask the internet.
