Hello Everyone.

I am new to this forum and having searched and read the frequently asked questions thread, I've decided to make my first post.

I'm looking to buy my first A3 8P 2.0tdi. Preferably an s line.

I'm absolutely certain this must have been asked before but I'm going to ask again.....

Is there anything to look out for when buying a 2.0tdi? Any general tips? Any recalls to be aware of? I've just read a post about cylinder heads cracking, is that common?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Links to threads where this has been covered would be great as well.
