Hey guys think g of upgrading from a a6 1.9 to a a8 3.0tdi going to look at one at the wk end any think nasty I should be looking for. ??? Many thanks in advance

Hello, The earlier 3.0 TDI'S 2004-2006 suffered from injector issues, you won't have that issue on a 2008. Still take it for a good drive to get it fully hot and leave it idling for a few minutes. Make sure there is no smoke.
Useful if you have got access to VAG COM as you can check a load of things out with a simple code read.

if you can go for a facelift one. but if you can try 4.2tdi I drove 3.0 and 4.2 before purchase and the difference in feel is big. I mean, you may not need the extra 100bhp then forget it but otherwise, the sound and power of 4.2tdi makes it stand much above ordinary in feeling 3.0tdi

Thanks for the replys it is a early facelift model think I'll stay looking for the 3.0 engine as my right foot can be a bit heavy sometimes.
