I am considering to purchase a cambelt + water pump kit for my local garage to fit. That is rather than go to Audi for this service. Can any member enlighten me on what is the correct part to buy, or which is the best kit to buy. I see lots of different belts and kits on the market from different manufacturers, but have no idea which of these are the best. Which make is the one that Audi itself uses and where would be best to buy it? Car spec is as signature indicates. Any advice appreciated.

Engine code is the most important info, but its not on your sig.
And get a genuine kit, have a look here

Well a timing belt kit costs around £110, plus £35 for water pump, and locking kit if your going to do it yourself are £15.
So £160 compared to over £300 for a garage to do it, is not a bad price.
Are you interested in purchasing a set?

Reason I ask is I bought a whole set for my 2.0 TDI BKD but ended up not needing it. Its all brand new and boxed up, thought I might see if you wanted to buy it.

Thanks Roman. What make of kit did you buy? Is the locking kit included? Have not yet decided which way to jump on this. Not yet sure if our local garage can handle it. Will investigate.

Ive got a genuine belt kit, water pump (with metal fan) and i have a locking kit too. Let me know what you decide, because its just sat here.
