hi could someone please tell me what sort of cost for a cambelt/water pump install? im having a new clutch/bearing done on my air con compressor and thought as the front is off, i would get the cambelt/water pump done to. ive been told its a 5 hour job for both. surely not 5 hours. ive got a 2006 2.0 tdi and thought the front was on a hinge.
thanks

On my 2.0 quattro it cost £385 all in.

3 hours quoted by a local garage for me @ £80 per hour plus VAT.

Can belt kit is apparently £180 and water pump £60, both plus VAT.

So was quoted £600 for it on my 2.0T

Which is the same as Audi offer on their fixed price servicing website.

Audi Stockport quoted £745 for my A6 C7 2.0 Diesel. Although mine is not due until next year. I felt they are just posting some random work. If I buy it good for them, or else they have nothing to lose.
I am gonna get a quote from an independent garage in my area to see the difference.

I am already disappointed with Audi's 'so called' major service which is nothing but an oil change and pollen filter.

The front bumper off put front panel into service mode longer bolts and it pulls forward about 50-70 mm but it would still be a good 4 hrs I’d probable quote 5 hrs myself for any seized bolts or problems
