In the process of swapping the oil pump balance shaft the locking pin in the camshaft sprocket is jammed, it rotates about 5 degrees and have tried to pull it out but no luck, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you can get a socket on the central bolt in one of the gears, rock it slightly and that should free the stuck pin. Pull on the pin while you're doing it. You may need to bump against the pin to actually free it.

Thanks, Will give that method a try in the morning. For my understanding when you say ‘bump against the pin’ you mean tap it? In or side ways or other?

Sorry, I didn't make it quite clear. When you jog the cam gear with the socket, it will bump the pin. You may need to bump it in both directions of turn on the gear.

Thanks, yes that was my first method which unfortunately hasn’t shifted it out only rotated it
You sure there isn’t preload on the pin

you can put a socket and ratchet on the middle nut for the camshaft sprocket and wobble it left and right 0.5mm until you can pull the pin
