Car Insurance on Cat D cars?

Anyone got any experience on insuring a Cat D car? Is it more expensive to insure or do you need go to specific policies for Cat D cars?

I think its the same to be honest, my Mark 2 ended up being a Cat D and when I got it insured, they just said that it will not get paid out on if there was another claim on it eg to write it off.

My A3 was a cat C in 2004 and was put back on road in 2005 (VIC check)

Never had a problem with insurance price wise:icon_thumright:

as above my almera was a cat c was put back on the road befor the days of vic tests
