cars on pcp and getting insurance

Having read elsewere and this....why do some insurance companies not insure vehicles on pcp

Not sure. It's not something we come across - all the insurers on our panel will happily quote. Maybe its something to do with ownership of the vehicle during the PCP term? You'd have thought that people would be extra careful during the PCP term because they need to retain equity in the vehicle to move onto the next car when the contract is up.
