Casting iphone apps to RNSE

Has anyone tried to use a combination of something like this...

on their RNSE (mk2 LED) ?

I wan tot get my Waze navigation onto my RNSE head unit. I realise I would need to operate the application from the phone itself but that is fine.

Of course it can be then used for youtube, plex, netflix, etc but this is just a gimmick I wouldn't really use much.

I would hope that I will be able to play music at the same time and use hey siri etc

any thoughts ? experience ? better options ?

the second unit can be found alot cheaper approx £29 on the net by sourcing it from alibaba.com top one most likely as well .
i used the 2nd unit in my old a3 for a reversing camera , didnt try it for video casting . worked perfect for the camera , although did find the canbus comms to be a bit flaky at times and would require the unit briefly unplugging to reset it.

VIM addon, ive actually got it all working now, it snot bad, a few drawbacks.
I'm probably going to ge tan android unit for more control, especially with the new laws.

just wondered how you managed to get this to work in the end? What were your drawbacks? Did you manage to VIM hack your RNSE 193G? I have been trying this for a long time without success...
