My central locking stop working. i had a tester on it and got this error of it.
I got it taken out and got it open. found this blue stuff all over it.
so my question is, does any one know why this happend, and is this whole thing a simple replacement?

I finally got around to get this fixed. i have bought a new (used) pump.
But i still cant use the centrallocking.
when i try to lock the car useing the buttons on the driver side door, nothing happens other then the pumps starts to whine.
i then tryed to put my old "water" damaged pump in again. the locking works fine.
am i missing something i need to do for the new unit to work? or is it also broken

I have looked at the Graphite part in the new(Used) and old
My old one have the whole graphite part intact. but the new one dosent have that part.
can i just take the graphite part out of the old unit and put it into the new one?
or should i switch the boards around?

Yeah i bought the new one, with the same 8lo 862 257 k number.

Yeh i noticed the motor was missing earlyer today. I thought it was a full unit

I would try transferring the board from the new to the old did you purchase by part numbers? New unit appears to have no motor?

take a look at what I mean by the graphite part it is usually broken inside be careful when dismantling as its made up of small pieces inside.

You will also have to code the new module for correct functionality with vcds if you have it or something similar.

I would put the old pump back in and read the original code via vcds then check the code on the newer module taking note of the numbers for recoding etc it's 35 central Locks or 46 central Conv on vcds.

I have gotten the boards switched.
Everything works now without any problems.

I just had to resync my keys to the car again. after i did all that it worked without any issues.
My new and old boards used the same softcoding code, so i dident have to change that :D

Thanks alot for all your help :D
