Centre console/armrest stuck in "up" position.

managed to get the armrest off and only 1 of the steel angled catches is pulling with the lever.
It's how the f**k do you get it apart to fix it?
I'm a precision eng to trade so fixing it ain't a problem it's getting into it!

managed to break mine by jamming it against the folded down rear seats somehow.

To get mine off I flipped off the round caps on each side, there are metal clips inside, just prise them off and you will be able to remove the armrest.

I couldnt get inside mine in the end, seemed bonded but I managed to put it back in the horizontal position and it stays there now, just means I cant lift it up

Easy for me to do.
m
M4 cap screw with the head cut off.
Drill clearance thru 1st bit of plastic 4mm
Drill 3.3 and tap 4mm thru 2nd bit.
Also put a nut on the end and put thread lock on it all.
Did both sides just in case.
Anybody in my area (central Scotland) needing it done, let me know.
Took 20 mins.
