Evening all. I am looking to put some Gtechniq C5 onto the brake calipers of our S1 at the same time of doing the rims, but would need to make sure they are squeaky clean before applying it. Has anyone recommendations on what to use to get the calipers clean and ready for the C5?

Now that I have cleaned and coated by brake calipers (used Gtechniq C5) I now need to coat my alloys in a ceramic coating. I had enough C5 left to do the back wheels but the front need coated. I want to get a sealant that will finish the front two wheels as well as coat all four wheels of my new A4 when it arrives in a few months time.

Looking around the net, it seems the contenters are C5 again, Gyeon rims, CarPro DLUX or Carbon Collectives. Has anyone any experience with some of these products?

I also want to see the best place to get the product with a good discount code!!

@SPIKE_S1 - CarPro DLUX is a similar product to Gtechniq C5 but better value for money and more versatile IMHO

(£22.50 for 15ml ((or £42.50 for 30ml)) of C5 versus £24 for 30ml DLUX)

If you want something a bit easier to apply I would recommend Planet Polish Wheel Seal & Shine

Great value too. My first bottle lasted over 3 years!

Its so easy to apply & the finish is top notch. Sooooooooooooooo slick!
Apply with enclosed applicator, let cure for 20mins. Buff off with clean MF. Done

3 coats 20 mins apart will give you a min of 6 months protection
