CH/LH FEATURE WITH XENON HID'S

If i was to fit xenon hid kit to A b8 a4 foglamps.would the coming/leaving home feature still work?
i know error cancellers will be needed,but not sure if the ch/lh feature will still work.

ive already ordered them,but ive read that 55w hid's can melt the foglamp housing,anyone come across this?

also if buying 55watt i dont get no errors,is this correct?
