chrome mirrors

not sure if this has been discussed before but I'm wandering about the cost of buying the Chrome mirror set for my S3, i take it its best to get genuine Audi parts or try and source some second hand parts.

any info would be great

Just won those OEM mirrors on ebay, got them for £150, pretty good price I think. should look quality when on. are they easy enough to fit, haven't looked into it yet?

Yeah three or four screws if memory serves!!

Make sure you cable them into the door frame (link on the forum somewhere shows exactly what to do) so some oik doesn't nick them and stick them back on eBay...

Are the cgrome mirror covers that easy to get off then?

Four phillips scres underneath and they come straight off??

Judging by the frequency at which they come up on on ebay, I'd say so. Try this link for size.

i had no idea that the mirrors were such a target for theives, the anchoring idea seems to be the best by far, the only worry would be that if the thieves don't get their coup they may take it out on yer motor, ****** scumbags!

im in two minds whether to do this, dont like the whole 's3 imitating' idea but think they can look good on black a3's

don't know to be honest, im thinking about selling the a3 and getting an s3 already anyway so not sure yet
