Clarification on this part if possible.

Hi chaps,
Whilst still doing a big B7 parts sort out and came across this part and I don't recall what it is to be honest.
I seem to vaguely recal it maybe a DV blanking plug for DV relocation, but before I bin it if anyone can clarify one way or the other I'd be very grateful.
If anyone is interested in it as well let me know.

I'm not sure it is Nigel.
no part numbers either, it's hollow and just lightweight aluminium with that o-ring on the top.
