Clock & Date Resetting Itself!

every few weeks my clock in my a3 decides to lose the time and date,

just today i parked her up and returned a hour later to find on driving i look down and my clock says 0:29 and the date was showing 05.12.08,, thats 2 days out.. this has happened about 3 times now,, its got me baffled

any one else had this problem?

It could be a connection on the cluster. Does the trip computer or the DIS reset itself too?

strangely enough no. only the clock is affected

What about your stereo, is that affected at all??

Seems like it could be a loose connection....

I think if its just the clock, I think it will be an internal fault with the cluster, probably not worth the cost of replacing. Maybe it will have logged a fault for Vagcom etc?

I'm guessing by the red lining at 4.5k its for a diesel though you would need to check the part number. That would just leave you needing Audi to encode it for your ECU.

think I'm gonna have to pull it out first and check connections b4 i buy ,, or just suck it up and keep on setting the ****** time every few weeks. man.

also while I'm on the subject of Audi problems i have a clicking sound coming fro one of the electric blower flaps behind the dash, any quick fix's for those??
