Hi
My car was sat for a week when I was on holiday. When I got back and started driving, I noticed a horrible clunking noise on start up. I took it to a garage I trust and yep......it didn't happen when he had it so paid him a score for his time and took the car back. You've guessed it, started again when I had it so assumed it could be the starter motor so I had that changed!
This noise is back and only really happens when starting the engine from warm, once it's running, the noise disappears and it sounds/runs fine. It's a 2.0 tdi s-line 7 speed multi-tronic.
I'm not sure how to attach a video so you can have a listen.
