Clutch Help

Hi, just looking for a bit of information

I own a 1997 A3 1.8T and my clutch is on its way out,
I have found a clutch kit on eurocarparts part no: 641441490 and I have found a garage that is happy to fit it for me.

Just wondering if this is the right clutch for me as it says up to model 8LY but my car is 8L1, sorry I'm pretty new at this!

So my car is AGU so I'm guessing I want the:


1.8T AGU,AQA,ARZ,AUM 1996-2000 Sachs 3000.951.005

looking at the parts on eurcarparts, I think it is the right one.

you should be fine. you can still call them and confirm it

This is only an issue for the S3 and A3 4WD. 2WD A3 slave cyl is bolted outside the bell housing.

As a kit will it contain the slave cylinder?

No, the slave won't be included in the kit, but you shouldn't need it.

Sorry posted at the same time as HTC! It is a 2wd! As long as the clutch fits and the mechanic fits it I'll be fine, like I've said I thought about upgrading performance wise but thought it best to save the pennies for a newer car, thanks for all your replies though!!
