Contempt shown to Audi Drivers on the road

Never seen anything like it, a lot of non Audi drivers seem to dislike Audi’s with a passion. When I drive the V40, people seem to be courteous, and don’t treat you like an escaped convict, however same journey and driving style in the A4, they’re disrespectful ignorant idiots. Van drivers seem to be the worst, cutting you up and refusing to pull back in on dual carriageways etc.
I just don’t get it. It’s just a brand of car.A 5 series driving pal of mine says he gets it as well and it’s just petty jealousy but I don’t think it’s that. Certainly an inferiority complex but not jealousy. What these idiots don’t realise is you tend to find people with Audi’s BMW’s and mercs etc tend to have worked ****** hard to get a nice car, that option is there to most but some choose not to bother their backside.

Anyway rant over, I’m home now and have coffee in hand. Roll on tomorrow, last day for 3 weeks and no idiot is ruining my day

It also works the other way - my female friend I got the B6 Avant from now has a little Yaris and suddenly gets beeped at for no good reason which never happened in the Audi and generally bullied more. Despite her driving in the same way, same style, on exactly the same roads and journey times! It's a true phenomenon of others judging you by what car you drive and acting in a certain way around you. At the very least, the size of the car perhaps makes a difference too.

When I ran a Bentley Continental GTC about two years ago I was always astonished how courteous and complimentary other drivers were, especially on the Continent. People would point out where hidden spaces were in crowded car parks and frequently tell me that they were driving away so there would be a space available. On two occasions I have had restaurant owners shuffle cars around in order to get me parked in front of their establishment ; hoteliers did that all the time. I’ve gone back to Aston Martin now, the response of other drivers is somewhat different !

I’ve not long changed my RS4 V8 for an RS6 V8, both are estate versions. The black RS4 attracted no attention at all , but the red RS6 gathers head turners all of the time, but none wave or thumbs up quite like the response the Aston garners. Curiously enough another owner of an absolutely identical RS6 never acknowledges the wave we give him, but he always waves at the Aston. What are the odds, I wonder, of two absolutely identical RS6 estates being in the same vicinity ? we even have the same alloys.
