Both the bump stops on the back of the car are damaged with 1 actually loose, it makes a rattley sound when I go over any bumps! So it's rather irritating!

My question is, how much are the bump stops to replace? Part + fitting.

Thanks!

Here's some pics of what I'm talking about!

I'm guessing no one has had this problem!

Anyways, could some one take a pic of their rear bump stops for me, just for comparison!

Also bump stops aren't an MOT failure item right?

Thanks!

Not an MOT failure, however the bump stops are also there to protect the shock shaft from stone chips & dirt. The bump stops are about 16- 20 each, and I would say around 1 hour labor to remove & rebuild both shocks.

My SB had same issue, road salt/crap build up, cleaned them up refitted, no issues tbh, but may revisit.

not sure how much they cost but they are easy to do just two bolts at the top of the strut holding it onto the car and one bolt holding the top mounts to the shock can be done in an hour tops with the right tools so if wherever you take it say its a £100 job tell them they are having a laugh

I had the same issue 2 days before...I guess am not the only one
