Hi all,

My car's at the local audi independent today as I booked it in to investigate a strange noise it was making. Turns out it's a wheel bearing that needs replacing, which I thought wasn't too bad.

I've been quote about £135 to fix it, which sounds like a lot to me. That's £65 for a genuine VAG wheel bearing and 1.5 hours labour. Anyone have any thoughts on whether that's reasonable?

Cheers

Mike

Just found the following which is quite a useful guide ...

... obviously it's only one place, but gives a rough idea of how much things cost.

Shows a front wheel bearing as £120 + VAT, which is more than I've been quoted, so made me happy!
