Dashcam stopped working whilst hardwired.

My dashcam stopped working mid-journey, plugged it into the cigarette lighter socket and it works fine.
Took the power magic apart and everything looks ok, nothing burnt out. Checked the fuses and all ok. Bought a new power magic and still nothing. Not sure what to test next. Any ideas?

Does the light on the power magic light up?

No, nothing at all.

Where did you make the connections into the car and how did you make them.
If the fuses are all ok, I would certainly check these connections.
Do you have a multimeter?

Gateway and stereo, when I pull them I get errors

Yeah have a multimeter, will check them in the morning.

Well went out to start testing it all, fiddled about with the cables and suddenly the light on the box came on. Hopefully it stays fixed.
