As per this post on steering.

http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?t=67857&highlight=steering

The master-tech at Edinburgh Audi had never heard of steering weight adjustment.

They are willing to do the work if I find out about it?? It's booked in for friday.

I cant adjust it myself via Vag-Com as its a 2008 car.

Does anyone have any idea how a dealer would do it?

Is it worth emailing Audi direct?

Thanks,

Paul.

It can be done on post 07 cars. Sebastian at Rosstech found a way to do it, but it wasn't deamed safe for some reason so details weren't published. The dealer should be able to do it with their VAS system.

Update, At the moment it can't be done on 2007+ cars. Had mine into Audi and there equipment cant access that feature and couldn't access it on earlier cars either.

I also emailed Ross-Tech and got this reply.

I am not aware of any way to adjust that steering level in any newer A3's. That Component field should indicate the Kl (Kennlinie) and only those with numbers lower that Kl.015 (early models) are adjustable. This is not a limitation in our software, this is a change that Audi made on the production line to prevent adjustment by either our software or by the factory scan tools.
