Did anyone try VCDS with the new multimedia system?

Did anyone try messing with the new multimedia system in VCDS? How different it is from the older versions?

I want to retrofit a genuine reverse camera to my friends new A1 and I’m not sure if it’ll fit aka if there any major changes.
