Different Between Pre-Facelift and Facelift?

Hi there. I think the facelift occured after 2001 (i think maybe 2000).

I know that they made S3 rearlights a standard for all A3's and also had clear front lights.
But what else did they change? Anything inside, performance, engine code, parts etc?

Just very curious as I read someone discussing how because he has the pre-facelift it doesn't have... etc.
