Disable Stop/Start with VCDS?

Hi all, collected new A4 Allroad 3.0Tdi on Friday, very pleased so far!
O
ne annoying thing however, is despite switching off the stop/start function with the button on the dash, if I leave the car running and get out (which I have to do to open a gate to our house) the engine still cuts out. Does anyone know if this can be disbaled with VCDS (which I have)?

If you start the car up, disable the start/stop by hitting the button, drive up to the date, put it in the park, the engine should continue to run and not cut out...or am I missing something? I always disable the start/stop, gets very annoying!!
