Recently changed my insurance from my previous car over to my new S3. Adrian flux were quoting something ridiculous like £1800 so I decided to change companies. I am 26 have had my E46 M3 insured with them for 3 years and other performance cars over the years.

I changed to another company which charged a far more sensible £400 fully comp on the 1st April and then went away for 2 weeks on holiday. Next thing I know is I come back to an email saying the outstanding balance, less than £100 has been passed onto a debt collecter which will damage my credit rating etc etc. I get in contact with Adrian flux an basicaly get told tough an to contact the debt recovery agency to 'settle up'

I would just like to draw as many peoples attention to this as possible. I have been a loyal customer for years to this company and have paid thousands to them over the years and never once defaulted or claimed for that matter! and this is how they act. Within less than 2 weeks they have passed this so called 'debt' on, 2 weeks before the direct debit is even due.Had they just taken it from my bank as the direct debit was still active or phoned me I would have paid straight away.

This company will never receive another penny from me after this, no matter how competitive their quotes come renewal, absolutely shocking customer service.

Also when I was phoning them up the person on the other end of the phone was adamant the audi s3 didn't exist and was a 2.0 tfsi a3, so much for a performance car 'specialist'

Can't say I'm surprised to be honest, I wasn't at all impressed with their telephone manner or their quote to be honest, Admiral bent over backwards to get my business.

Will never ring them again.

On another forum I was told to ring them for a quote as they specialised in young drivers and "performance cars"
I had a 106 gti at the time and I was 20.

I rang and was basically told, I shouldn't have that car at my age as it was dangerous and they were not able to quote me.

yet the "rep" on the forum had told me they insure 17-25 year olds daily on gti's

Very poor customer service

Inexcusable they can take money from people or offer a service then condescend them (irrespective of age). Vote with your feet and spread the word.

For me it was the manner they conducted themselves in, never rang me when they said they would, then when I rang them the guy I spoke to didn't seem the slightest bit interested, then proceeded to say Admiral must have got 'it' wrong with my quote or I hadn't told them something ????? Didn't know I'd become forgetful all of a sudden !!!

Whereas Admiral were very helpful and bent over backwards to get the business

As someone told me a couple of weeks ago, it's the people sean, be nice to them and they'll respond in kind.

Requested a call back on Saturday. Never got it.

They can flux off.

Latest thing is they are now refusing to provide the details of my no claims!! Is there anything I can do legally? This is no effecting my existing policy.

The no claims isn't even from this policy it is from the previous years, which was obviously paid in full.

Would be awfully nice of someone from Adrian Flux to comment on this thread.

All companies make mistakes and nobody is perfect but it's how you move on from your mistakes and how you treat your customers that sets you apart from the rest of the field.

I'll not hold my breath. Worst company I have ever dealt with and I would urge anyone considering them to steer clear. Plenty of other brokers out there.

Good to see the can promote some competition in the forum but not get I touch about on-going issues.

Well so far I cant say a bad word about them, and have came out on top this year with my renewal quote, all mods declared.

They were a huge disappointment to me too, how can a 'performance car' specialist quote me £2100 to insure mine when Admiral quote me £600 :s Hope you get it sorted mate.

Shower of *******s.. Ill be staying well clear..

Hope you sort it out matey

I had massive problems with them a few years ago when I was mid-advised by one of their agents. I submitted a complaint which ultimately led to them have g to admit they were in the wrong! They refused to even quote me when I tried since(I would never have taken the policy just wanted the info)

Remember they are regulated, if you don't get anywhere, go to the regulator

Hello

Firstly apologies for not getting back to you sooner.

Can you please DM me your policy number and/or surname & post code so that I can investigate and supply you with an explanation.

Thank You

Dan

I was with them five years ago and they doubled my premium on renewal for a none fault claim. And that took them from the accident in March to October to get it sorted out and my car fixed.

Main rule of insurance, you get what you pay for, cheap means cheap. Pay extra for a decent company with decent coverage. Also helps if your preferred repairer is also one the insurance company prefer.

Been with Aviva ever since, City Center Car Care in Digbeth is my preferred repairer and on Aviva's list too, and Chris Knott saved me money on renewal and kept me with Aviva

Have you had an accident since moving to Aviva?

@S3 Trev, yes, another two no fault claims, one with an uninsured driver. Both got sorted very fast. First one within ten minutes of calling them they had my car booked in for repair and a replacement car sorted. Driver hit my car and drove off so I chased them and got their details, address was correct but uninsured, Aviva did everything, I paid the excess, they claimed it back and refunded me. On renewal it went up £150.
Second one, was sorted very quick. On renewal it went up £275. Tried Chris Knott, they saved me £310 on that which was slightly cheaper than I was already paying, and kept me with Aviva.
Yes, seriously, it was cheaper to get insured with Aviva via Chris Knott than it was going direct with Aviva. This is why I recommend them so much, same cover, same company, but cheaper.

I'm with Aviva through a broker and my experiences of them are very good indeed.

Well I've used Adrian Flux for years and I've never had a problem with them and I've always recommended them...
I'm going to ring them now about my renewal... I paid £366 last year, and I've since picked up an SP 30 and also modified my S3... Quote me happy...

No I'm not... :( They are closed on Sundays...

^^^ Might as well be closed every other day gauging by the responses on this forum and the fact the "rep" has only just shown himself.

Just quoted me unhappy... £475.00, that's £109 more than last year...
Gonna shop around...

I had a quote from Fluxdirect today for £379... When Adrian Flux quoted me £475... WTF??? They are a sister company of Adrian Flux... I've been a customer of AF for years and yet that stands for nothing...

Very very disappointed with Adrian Flux...

I can't fault Admiral, very flexible and very helpful.

I've had my license 3 years and have 3 years no claims, i'm just shy of the so called big three zero. Hastings wouldn't quote me as they need 5 years of having a license for an S3, and AF came back with 1.5k, Admiral happy to insure me on the S3 when it finally arrives and the price is less than i paid last year for my current car.

Though none of my quotes have been in the region of 3-400 I can only dream of such cheap figures!

UPDATE...

I received a letter from Adrian Flux regarding my renewal still at £474, and also stating that they would beat any other quote, so I rang Adrian Flux today and they gave me a price of £375... Done deal, thank you AF for quoting me happy, eventually... :)

I,m on my second year with Adrian flux and I've never had a problem ,best company ive ever used !

I've been with Chris Knotts for 2 years now. There renewal quotes are always bottom of the market competitive but with fantastic benefits and customer service. So I've always stuck with them

I rang Adrian Flux for a quote and they were roughly the same to be honest but after reading some of the listings on here I'll stick with my current agent.

366 through Chris Knotts with all Mods declared and 0 voluntary contribution. Can't argue at that

My Daughter has just passed her test and we cancelled the learner insurance with adrianflux, they then processed that and we now owe them £60, okay fair enough, my misses just got a snooty letter today saying they will charge another £25 on top if we dont pay it asap, okay we have dragged our feet on paying it, but £25, on top of a cancellation tax, the government really does need to step in on these insurance companies that are charging pay day loan aprs on there premiums.

Wow not just me then that finds them crap. Don't know how they make any money

reviving this thread from the dead.
But my renewal is in and i called Chris Knott for a comparitive quote, and they cant insure any car with any kind of wrap on it, this includes clear protective wrap, chrome deleted to same colour of the car, even if you wrapped the plastic door handle to be body coloured, they cant cover it...

Shame, Adrian Flux have never given me any trouble for all these things declared.

I saw on another forum Flux have gone under?

Hi,

I can confirm this is incorrect.

One of the underwriters we use, Enterprise, that has gone into liquidation, not us. As such it is only clients who have policies with them that are affected. All affected clients had been contacted. If you have not been notified already then this will not affect you.

Kind Regards
Dan

Ive been with Adrian flux for many years , always keen to secure my business they have always matched the cheapest quotes , basically been happy with them until i changed my car last week , I've come from a Bmw 330d to a a3 sport sportback , so can imagine my shock that it was going to cost me nearly £250 to change mid term on top of the annual £220 premium already paid for !! I could of had it for £232 with legal cover etc ... ill be keen to see what happens at renewal but at the moment not happy at all .

Flux are only there to take your money and don't care about customers when an accident actually happens. Absolutely appalling behaviour, appalling customer service and in my eyes con artists.
I wouldn't recommend them to my worst ememy.
