I am just about to embark on changing the DMF in my 2011 RS3 8P.
It has done 57K and has a rattle / vibration from the DMF.

Has anyone here got any experience of doing this ? any special procedures / tools etc ?
And is it worthwhile replacing the clutch packs while the box is out?

I’ve done it on a 3.2 TT @DafNPuppet

It’s a big job and the DSG box is very heavy so good access is needed.

Make sure you are given the Correct DMF and new spline bolts to secure it.

Carden shaft needs to come off the bevel box, driveshaft off the Gearbox, quite a lot of bolts securing the box to the engine and on the TT there is one bolt that’s hidden and you’d need to research the removal process so you are familiar with what’s what.
