Seeing they are bring out the TT-RS must be considering a RS3! I dont see why they not bought a RS3 out yet!
Love for them to bring one out though, love to see how it looked and handled and every thing.

In recent interviews senior Audi people have said they'll be developing more efficient diesel engines and lighter cars to reduce their corporate CO2 emissions below the threshold where the EU will impose punitive taxes on them.

So they don't want volume sales of high CO2 vehicles, like an RS3 would be. The TT RS, on the other hand, is a small niche market and they can take the small hit that would make on their corporate CO2 level.

So IMHO the chance of an RS3 is zero.

In this context volume is relative though. An RS3 would cost around 30% more than an S3 at that makes it one pricey hatchback. So, I can't imagine they'd be racing of the showroom floor too quickly.

Alternatively, Audi could limit production to a few thousand or so.
