DPF pressure sensor fault after aborted remap

Hi Guys

I have a 2011 2.0 tdi (140) s-line,Had a fella remap the ecu,on fitting the ecu the car wouldnt start or recognise the ecu,so he returned to the workshop,replaced my original map and tried again,still no joy.He went away and left me his wife's 3 series and returned 2 days later with the ecu and it worked,apparently it was stuck in boot mode for some reason,never had this before!
he has unlocked the ecu to accept remap by obd port now,and will have car for a day when he returns from hols.

all was running fine,no lights on etc,until I got home,pulled onto the drive and PING up came the EML,got a mate to plugin vcds and it come up with DPF Pressure sensor short to ground,he reckons no fault with sensor must be something matey has done to ecu.

what do you guys think?

the car is running well,went for a run on the motorway see if i could clear the dpf,but not sure if it has done anything.

It could just be coincidence, it does happen

Whats unclear from your post is if the light is still on? Was your mate able to clear the fault? Or if he did, did it come straight back?

Guy was aware ECU had to be removed and mapped on the bench,has all the kit to do itNever had the non start problem before and had to send ECU to guy with better equipmentTo find chip stuck in boot mode,ECU now unlocked to accept remap by obd Yes my mate cleared code but popped on again after 3 miles and still on

That light has come on for a reason and shoukd have stored a fault code within the ECU. Hopefully your mapper will carry out a full diagnostic check prior to the remap. If something is amiss the remap will cause you problems.........

What was the fault code your mate found?

EDIT - just seen it. Get your mapper to log the sensors prior to the map to make sure they are reading correctly

if one of those is faulty it will lead to DPF problems in the future; even more so once mapped.

BUM ! EML back on this morning,got a cable and plugged in showing pressure sensor again,disregard other faults,was when the remap trouble and ecu not communicating (stuck in boot mode)

have got a new sensor and will fit soon,

I would say its not been mapped correctly or they have forgot to map something out which the car is still trying to trigger,i have heard of a few situations like this and others where people have had DPF's removed but the car regen cycle hasn't been taken out.

I believe the OP still has the DPF in place??

When replacing the sensor make sure you calibrate it. It needs to be done BEFORE you switch the engine on I believe. I think Ross Tech have a guide for fitting a new sensor

After a bit of confusion and searching I have got a G505 sensor,not sure if this is the correct one? everyone goes on about G450 which I cant find on any diagram
