So first time towing with the A4 since I got it! First leg of journey went well (aside from awful traffic). Real test is tomorrow where I will be doing 660 miles.
I was towing a Folding Camper, which pretty much 1T, and it drove fine! Did not feel any lack of power, and car was still able to accelerate without feeling too strained.
The best bit is how the sat nav / driver assist knows the trailer is attached and shows trailer based speed limits:
This also adjusts the adaptive cruise control to the correct towing speed limit, and is correct to reflect national speed limits (50mph on single carriageway, 60mpg on dual-carriageway / m-way).
The warning message is where the pre-sense emergency braking is disabled with towing.
