Drivers Seat Removal & Airbags

Hi,

I need to remove my drivers seat (retrofitting memory seat & need to replace the wiring) - do I have to disconnect the battery or is not starting the car whilst the seat is out safe enough?

I'm planning to have the seat out for a couple days to do the wiring but if I need to disconnect the battery, then locking the car is out of the question.

Just don't want to disconnect the seat & the airbags to go off (I doubt they would but just want to make sure).

I’m not 100% but I thought the airbags still go off even when the car is off?

Either way, the battery would always be out for a job like this. Far safer.

Battery off for works. Temp reconnect power if needed but leave bags disconnected for the duration of the job and then clear faults.
