Drivers side wing mirror slow

It's got slow to open/close, then got stuck occasionally.

A bit of WD40 in the 'open' gap has pretty much restored closing speed, but opening if anything is worse.

Any ideas? Are these things easy to get to to better lubricate?

Chain lube wax or white grease.

As wd40 isn't really a lube as such
