DTM Drivers front seat problem

Hi all

The drivers side seat in my 2006 DTM won't recline towards the steering wheel, everything else works (not tried reclining back incase I can't get it back to where it is)
Ive put up with the gangster driving style till now and want it more upright.

Anyone know what this could be? had this in one of their cars before now?

If electric have you tried running output DTM with vcds and also checked wether you are seeing a switch signal when the switch is operated ?

Not yet.. I was hoping it could just be a straight forward fix (never is though)
