Hello,

It's been a while since my last tyre post, so this one has been well worth the wait!

Last February, Dunlop launched their new sport tyre: the Sport Maxx RT. What else could be better to test it than a racecourse test?

It is therefore at the Ascari racecourse, in Andalusia, Spain, that Dunlop decided to show their new product’s ambitions. Needless to say, we were there to see it, but also test it!

From a technical point of view, the Sport Maxx RT displays:

  • Excellent braking on wet or dry surfaces (see test from TüV SüD)
  • An improved rolling resistance
  • Increased safety
  • Technical advances in performance and eco-friendliness

From our point of view, we tested the Sport Maxx RT on two sport cars (Audi TT-S and Audi S4 V6T). It gave us a good impression, which place this tyre amongst the best in the category.

To see the results of our Sport Maxx RT test, and the opinions of our journalist / driver, find out more here: Dunlop Sport Maxx RT test and review

What are you views? Would you be willing to give the Dunlop a try?

Hey guys!

Old thread, I know, but here is an interesting update about this tyre; the new Maserati has chosen to fit the Quattroporte with Dunlop’s Sport Maxx RT!

Officially unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show last month, the new Maserati model is a luxury sport car. And the Italian brand intends to compete with Porsche and Bentley!

The new Maserati Quattroporte generates a power of 530 HP. And in just 4.7 second it can spring from 0 to 100 km/h. To extend its performance it obviously need ultra high performance tyre. And as original equipment, Maserati has chosen to fit the Quattroporte with Sport Maxx RT, with a front tyre size of 245/45 ZR 19 (98Y) and a rear tyre size of 275/40 ZR 19 (101Y).
