Dv s3 8p pre facelift

My mate said he is selling his dv but has no kit just dv from forge,
My question is can i fit this dv without on standard oem kit until i get round to actually buying the forge kit for the dv?

As the forge valve works in a different manner to the OEM valve I would say no. The forge valve does not make use of the electronics just the vacuum.

Cant you keep the other oem dv relocating it but still plugged in but blocking it off and use the forge dv or even still thought i seen somewhere the plug in system as part of a kit for the forge dv, i may be wrong as thats why im asking! I want to test and see what it sounds/runs like with one as really like the sound
