I have recently fitted a egr blanking kit to my 2.0tdi and have had some problems,
With the two plates on the car doesn't run properly and has a big loss in performance,
With just the one plate on the preformace is ok and car seems to run fine but has now gained a noise like it has a dumpvalve which seems to happen when the turbo kicks in.

Any Ideas?

Egr will need mapping out or buy a blank with a hole.

I know this would get rid of the engine management light but would this help with the performance? Any ideas if it would get rid of the dump valve sound?

Hello mate i would suggest getting it mapped out as the lad before said as i fitted one with a hole and the car ran absolutly terrible and i had to take it back off

As above, my dad did this on his fabia vrs and r tech said it should be mapped immediately after the blanking kit is fitted. Cheeky excise to get it mapped I think. If it's already mapped then they can simply map map the egr out.
