I've been quoted £800 to supply and fit an EGR valve on my 2011 A3 TDI black edition after a 'coil' warning light came on.

Does anyone know if this is a good price as not sure if the garage is trying to pull a fast one on me. As this is to do with emissions would it be better to go to Audi directly and see if they would pay part of the cost.

Bargain .

Blank and remap or delete and remap .

+1, get shot of it. your wallet and your DPF will thank you for it.

P.S. when your DPF gives up thanking you for it, get rid of that too, better still get them both done at the same time

Yeah, heard that emission recall can kill egr.

Best is as all above advise, Blank it or delete with dpf gutted and remap.

My egr started to cause problems so done the above and all hunky dory now:racer:

Had mine reverted to the latest update before the emissions update, then a cheeky map on top of it. Smooth again
