Hi all,
Our car is a 54 plate A3 1.6 Fsi with 86k, and we do about 5000 miles a year, with a mix of town driving and motorway miles.
For the past two years, the engine warning light has come on sporadically - sometimes every few months, then we won't see it again for say 9 months...
We then take it to our local independant who runs it through the computer, and it comes back with the following 5 faults:
17443 - Sensor for NOx (G295)
P1035 - 008 - Signal Implausable
17441 - Sensor for NOx (G295)
P1033 - 002 - Signal too Low - Intermittent
16575 - Fuel Pressure Sensor (G247)
P0191 - 002 - Implausable Signal - Intermittent
18359 - Radiator Fan 2 (V177)
P1951 - 002 - Movement Restricted/Jammed - Intermittent
18528 - Post-Catalyst Oxygen (Lamda) Sensor Correction; Bank 1
P2096 - 002 - Too Lean - MIL ON
Our mechanic has said that he could replace the NOx sensor and Fuel Pressure Sensor (I think), and it would cost us nearly £500, but he says that this may not 'fix' the engine warning light coming back on.
I've also taken it to an auto-electrician, who seems to be of the same opinion as our mechanic, in that these fault codes don't point to anything specific, and we'd just be wasting our money replacing parts that may not need replacing (car has been running fine apart from the coil pack going bust).
So I was just wondering if any of you knowledgable people know of a similar issue with any VAG motors?
Thanks in advance for any replies!
