Engine holds back @top speed

Hi guys,

I'm new here and I have already a question.

I have an a3 tfsi 2,o with ccza code. The engine is already tuned at stage 2. I've noticed on top speed that the engine holds back without any error. In the other gears there seems no power loss. Does anybody have a clue where I can start searching?

Could be some engine protection kicking in if EGT's are too high. You need to do some logging and see what's going on. Check for misfires and specified / actual boost .
Could also be issues with the HP fuel pump.

Ok thx for the reply. Are there without vagcom other softwares to log the ecu? I have an elm adapter and torque but can't see how to log the inputs.
