Hi hoping some one could help, had engine light come on my audi a4 tdi 170 56 plate, took car to local garage for diagnostic saying egr valve car drives fine. Got garage to clean egr and take light of drove for 10-15 miles light back on. Anyone else had this problem car driving fine but carnt keep looking at eml light

It is quite a common accurance on diesels buddy. Something to bear in mind mate is that if you ever contemplate having your A4 remapped ask the tuner to do an EGR delete aswell as the stage 1 map as this closes the valve thus allowing your engine to run alot better as its not having hot recirculated gases going back in to the engine. If you wanna do a complete delete then great but no need as you can map the EGR out.
Thanks for the info I was thinking ov having a egr delete I have allready had the dpf removed and had it remaped is it ok to still have the egr delete ? And do I remove the egr valve itself with a racepipe or does it stay and just map it out ?
