ESP & ABS lights

Hi everyone,

Can anyone shed any light on my fathers problem with his a4 2.0fsi Sometimes when he is driving the esp & abs lights come on (not always) he seems to think or notice it happens when he turns right.

You could be right there James, mine came on once when i "had to stop rather sharply" i'm sure it did throw something up in vag-com but it was a while ago now so can't really remember, however the manual says "if a malfunction should occur in the ABS, the ESP warning lamp will light up aswell", but hopefuly just the switch.

could also mean brake light out or about to go (esp) and abs one I think kept coming up occasionally but hasn't come on since I replaced the temperature sensor.
Also one of them came on for my brake pedal switch when that went.
Basically it could be loads of things but these are most likely
