So I changed the rear brakes today, upon doing so I removed the brake fluid cap and the fluid was to the neck, was visible with the grit guard in place.

Now they seems a little full to me or is this right for these cars?

the fluid level would have increased as you have replaced the pads and in doing so the pistons are now retracted back to the fully in position thus pushing back all the fluid that my have been added over time , just draw some out with a syringe or similar.

Sorry mate I should have stated this was before I even touched the brakes.

Yeah I thought afterward it would be normal due to the increased disc and pad material.

I'll take some more out tomorrow.

Would the fluid be over full cause brake issues?

Dont think so .I have found garages can overfill when servicing etc and dont bother to take some out
